Professional Development:
ArtsTeach provides training for teachers and artist-educators
to develop programs that utilize arts integration for curriculum-based
classroom experiences.
Partnerships Institute
ArtsTeach and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools plan and coordinate
a number of training opportunities each year. One of the primary
training workshops is the Partnerships Institute, an intensive summer
workshop for teachers and artist-educators to learn how to design
and implement arts-integrated lessons and units for classroom implementation.
An important component of integrating the arts into curriculum is
collaborating with artist-educators. Artist-educators are a valuable
resource to teachers in enhancing the teaching and learning process
and addressing the North Carolina Standard Course of Study through
various arts disciplines.
